Visiting the National Gallery of Canada (Ottawa), I was impressed by a piece by Marcel barbeau, "Bas du fleuve" (1964). I have tried to recreate the piece, and then, changing a line of code by another one, come to create this network.
Imagine individuals all different (37 in the graph below), each having a particular probability to enter a relationship. This graph contains a realization of contacts between pairs of individuals, where a line between two individuals is drawn proportionally to the product of the probabilities of the two members of the pair. Of course, each line is random in color, form, dominance in the relationship…
